OmniSpherica was founded by Cecilia Weiss and Nick Gillett.
Although Cecilia has considerable experience as a TV producer her real passion is dance. She believes strongly that 360 will allow a much more personal connection between the audience and dancers. It is that vision that is driving our early productions and the choreography she is shaping for them.
Nick learned to work a darkroom using his father’s old enlarger back when he was 12 and has been playing with cameras ever since. His first foray into digital imaging was when he developed one of the first real-time video digitizers for the Apple II. That and a Physics degree gives an understanding of what can and cannot be done with current 360 technology, which puts him on technical side of the partnership.
